Application of cold storage and heat storage cascade coupling system to a regional energy project

The composition and working principle of the cold storage and heat storage cascade coupling system are presented. Taking a regional energy station in Zhuhai as an example, the technical and economic comparison between the cold storage and heat storage cascade coupling system and the commonly used electric boiler valley power system is carried out. The results show that the cold storage and heat storage cascade coupling system can fully recover the low-grade waste heat generated by ice production during the low power consumption valley at night in the regional energy station, and be used as a heat source for urban central heating after efficient cascading and upgrading the grade, which can further adjust peaks and fill valleys, stabilize power demand, and reduce district cooling and heating costs.
